What is Tesamorelin?
Tesamorelin is a synthetic analogue of growth hormone releasing hormone (GHRH) — the endogenous peptide that stimulates the pituitary gland to produce and release growth hormone. It is one of the few peptides in this category with a meaningful human clinical data record — it received FDA approval under the brand name Egrifta for HIV-associated lipodystrophy in 2010, making it one of the most clinically validated GHRH analogues available.
Unlike direct GH administration, tesamorelin stimulates the pituitary to produce GH in natural pulses — preserving the body's own feedback mechanisms rather than bypassing them.

Visceral fat reduction: Phase III trials in HIV-associated lipodystrophy showed significant reductions in visceral adipose tissue versus placebo over 26 weeks.
