GHK-Cu Research Notes

What is GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is a naturally occurring copper peptide — a tripeptide of glycine, histidine, and lysine bound to a copper ion. First identified in human plasma in the 1970s, it has been studied extensively for skin regeneration, wound healing, collagen synthesis, and anti-inflammatory signalling.

GHK-Cu levels decline with age, mirroring the decline in skin elasticity and wound healing capacity. This makes it one of the few peptides with substantial peer-reviewed research specifically in human skin tissue.

What the research shows

  • Collagen synthesis: Studies show GHK-Cu stimulates collagen types I, II, and III as well as elastin and glycosaminoglycans — the structural components of skin and connective tissue.

  • Wound healing: Accelerates wound contraction and epithelialisation in animal and some human studies, particularly in aged skin.

  • Anti-inflammatory: Modulates inflammatory gene expression, reducing pro-inflammatory cytokine activity while supporting tissue remodelling.

  • Hair follicle: Preclinical research shows stimulation of follicle size and improved hair density.

Ordering GHK-Cu in Bali

Common Questions

Q: Is GHK-Cu only for skin?

No. Also studied for wound healing in other tissue types, lung tissue repair, and hair follicle stimulation. Often stacked with BPC-157 for connective tissue protocols.

Q: Topical vs subcutaneous?

Cosmetic applications use topical. Research compound protocols typically use subcutaneous for systemic effects.

Q: Storage?

Refrigerate at 2–8°C. Use within 28 days of reconstitution. Ships cold-packed.
