What is DSIP?
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a nonapeptide — a peptide of 9 amino acids — first isolated from rabbit brain tissue in 1974 during research into sleep regulation. It was identified as a factor that, when infused into recipient rabbits, induced slow-wave (delta) sleep — giving the peptide its name.
It is studied for its role in sleep architecture, stress regulation, and neuroendocrine function. Unlike sedative compounds which suppress CNS activity broadly, DSIP appears to act on sleep-regulatory pathways specifically — making it an unusual research subject at the intersection of sleep science and peptide biology.
What the research shows
Sleep induction: Original and subsequent animal studies confirm delta sleep promotion following DSIP administration, with normalisation of disrupted sleep patterns in some models.
Stress regulation: Studies show DSIP modulates corticotropin release and reduces stress-induced hormonal dysregulation in animal models.
Neuroendocrine: DSIP influences LH, GH, and corticotropin secretion in both animal and limited human studies, suggesting broader neuroendocrine regulatory roles beyond sleep.
Human data: Some clinical studies from the 1980s and 1990s show improved sleep quality in subjects with disrupted sleep, though these are limited by design standards of the era.
Ordering DSIP in Bali
DSIP is not a controlled substance under Indonesian BPOM regulations. Same-day delivery may be possible only after the team confirms the exact item, current availability, route, daily cutoff, complete villa or hotel address, and timing before ordering.
Common Questions
Q: How does DSIP differ from melatonin?
Melatonin regulates circadian timing. DSIP acts on delta sleep architecture — the deep slow-wave phase. They target different aspects of sleep and are sometimes researched together.
Q: Is it commonly stacked?
DSIP is sometimes researched alongside Epitalon for comprehensive circadian and sleep regulation protocols.
Q: Storage?
Refrigerate at 2–8°C. Use within 28 days of reconstitution. Ships cold-packed.
